Cancer and leukemia have been ruled out. The Oncologist/hematologist said that her abnormal blood cell levels are still the result of her body recuperating from the initial infection and nothing more. Big sigh of relief.
Emerson is still intubated but they took her off rate support, meaning that she is triggering all of her own breathes - she appears to be breathing comfortably with this adjustment. She is still receiving oxygen from the ventilator and low pressure support. Good steps towards extubation.
