Emmy has not crashed since 11:00am on Tuesday and we are hoping each hour that she continues to stay strong. She turned 16 months today and hopefully that will bring with i...t some new 16 month old strength to fight this. Emmy had a minor procedure done in the afternoon yesterday to place a vac on her opened stomach to capture and measure the fluid she excretes. She handled it very well and was moved to what the staff call the "princess suite" to allow them to monitor her better. She is continuing to thrive as they very slowly wean her off of her blood pressure medications.
We have read many many emails to her and love ALL of them. We cannot get enough. Please keep sending them. emersonroessler@gmail.com They have helped fill us with hope and many times laughter.
Emmy has now survived past the 48 hour marker. While she is still unstable and in critical condition, this is in itself a small victory. We are told that we hope to see her start to fight this thing in the next 48 hours.
