and...waiting

So... Emerson is ready to go.  CT scan looks good.  She appears to be ready/strong enough to be extubated, BUT it is 5:00 now.  It took a long time until CT was ready for her and then a while to get everyone the results, SO we will extubate tomorrow.  Sorry to get everyone's hopes up.  We appreciate so much all of the encouraging and exciting emails Emmy received today.  She had a pretty good, pretty restful day- which may mean that she will be up a lot tonight (she has her days and nights confused, we think)- and all of that rest should be good for her BIG DAY TOMORROW... we hope :).
