Staying strong

The surgeons said that Emmy moved her left and right hand during the stomach vac change! Her intestine looked healthy. Her blood pressure and heart rate were stable during the procedure - overall, her heart rate is still too high. She also had her NG tube replaced with a much smaller feeding tube. They will start her on pedialyte and then move to a special formula if she does well with it. Occupational therapy is coming to determine if she needs splints for her hands and feet.
