Update: October 1,

As I wake, Emerson is getting some more Albumin (I miss heard the nurse,it is Albumin not Albutin) for her kidneys and overall fluid volume because her blood pressure dropped to 77 with a mean of 57. Within minutes, it is already climbing back up. The resident thinks that we were able to achieve some reduction in her overall fluid intake, but we will have to wait until rounds to figure it out. So, so far so good. Tiny progress, but progress has been made. Her swelling is still bad but I don't think any worse. Her color looks good. I really want her swelling to go down.

So far her emersonroessler@gmail.com account has 455 emails. We read them so much that Pat, one of her nurses, told me she has heard that one before. Some of them have been so funny we can't help but read them again and again. Angela, I read Firefly to every new nurse and or visitor - I still love it. The staff has been so great. They keeping checking in on Emerson even when they are away on weekend vacations.

I'll update after rounds, unless I have some news. I think we should hear from Dr. Jones her geneticist, a GI doc follow up, infectious disease doc (yesterday they didn't have much to say), neurology, and her PICU team.
